13 new hotspots in Kerala, 509 in total
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala identified 13 more new hotspots after the COVID cases continued to cross 1000 on Tuesday also. With this, total hotspots in Kerala touched 509.
In Thrissur district, Thrikkoor (Containment Zone: ward 13), Thiruvilwamala (15), Kondazhi (1), Avinissery (2) and Kaiparamba (3) were declared as hotspots.
In Ernakulam district, Kanjoor (5), North Paravur (15) and Njarakkal (9) were added to the list of hotspots.
Eraviperoor (8) and Niranam (3) in Pathanamthitta, Kunnummal (11) and Madavoor (8) in Kozhikode and Mannarkkad (7,13) in Palakkad were also declared as hotspots.
Meanwhile, 10 regions were excluded from the hotspot list. Four regions in Kollam district Melila (5,7,8,9,10,11), Pattazhy Vadakkekara (all wards), Poruvazhy (14,17) and Sooranad North (all wards) were removed from the list. All wards in Ponnani municipality and Nilambur municipality were also excluded from the list of hotspots.
Ezhamkulam (13) and Vechoochira (11) in Pathanamthitta district, Cherpu (11) in Thrissur and Kanjikuzhi (2,3,7,13,14) in Idukki were also removed from hotspot list.
