Thiruvananthapuram: The COVID-19 crisis has hit the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple here as a total of 12 staff in the temple, including the chief priest Periyanambi, have been confirmed with the disease.
Considering the COVID threat, the administrative committee has decided to temporarily stop allowing devotees to have darshan at the temple till October 15.
In order to continue the daily rituals in the temple, Tantri Tarananellur Satheesan Namboothirippadu arrived at the temple and took over the responsibilities of puja.
The temple authorities have decided to continue the daily rituals with the least number of employees possible under the current circumstances.
