Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who cheated the people by announcing a 100-day programme for Onam, is using the same trick for Christmas.
Most of the projects, announced in the last 100-day programme for Onam, have not been implemented yet, the Congress leader added.
The CM had announced a slew of projects including employment for 50,000 people, laptop for 5 lakh students, one mechanised coir factory will be opened each day, second Kuttanad package will be implemented, 1.5 lakh drinking water connections etc during a 100-day programme for Onam.
The government is claiming that all the projects were implemented but nobody knows where they were implemented. Now, the CM has announced that 50,000 more people will be given employment. Who is the CM trying to cheat? asked Chennithala.
This is a government which has delayed PSC appointments and cancelled rank lists to give backdoor appointments. And now the same government is boasting about providing job opportunities to trick the people.
The 5 budgets presented by this government have been full of projects which were not implemented. It is this government’s style to announce big projects and cheat the people by not implementing them.
