Thiruvananthapuram: Around 10 fishermen went missing after a fishing boat capsized in Muthalapuzha near Anchuthengu on Monday.
At the time of the mishap, around 24 fishermen were on the boat. Some escaped unhurt after swimming to the shore, and some were rescued by locals who arrived in another boat. They were later shifted to Chirayankeezhu hospital for treatment.
It is learnt that one of the fishermen rescued from the boat is in critical condition and is likely to be moved to Thiruvananthapuram medical college for further treatment. A group of fishermen from Anchuthengu harbour are continuing the rescue operation here.
