1,500 litres of payasam prepared in new ‘nalukathan uruli’ at Guruvayur

Payasam prepared at the temple

Guruvayur: Palpayasam was prepared in the huge ‘nalukathan uruli’ (a traditional vessel used for cooking) that the Guruvayur temple received as an offering.

The payasam was prepared at the new furnace at thidapalli. About 1,500 litres of payasam was prepared and served to devotees during ‘prasada ootu’.

NRI businessman NB Prashant made the offering. The first payasam was also his offering.

Tantri Dineshan Namboothiripad, governing body members and the administrator took part in the payasam-making ceremony, apart from Prashant and his family.
