'Other parties might have done it'; Kanam Rajendran about poster on party office wall
Kochi: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran responded that the poster against him that appeared on the wall of Alappuzha district committee office could have been pasted by other party workers.
Other parties are likely to take advantage of the situations and stick the poster. CPI workers do not act according to the expectations of others and they raise their criticism in party venue, Kanam added.
The poster found on the wall of Alappuzha district committee office demanded to remove Kanam from his position and to save CPI. It also contained slogans in favour of MLA Eldho Abraham and district secretary P. Raju. The poster bears the name Ambalappuzha CPI corrective forces.
Kanam also repeated his stance on the police lathi charge against MLA Eldho Abraham. There were lapses from the part of the police. Action will be taken after getting the collector’s probe report, he said.
Meanwhile, CPI MP C. N. Jayadevan strongly responded on the action against the MLA. CPI need not suffer the torture when being part of the ruling front and it is Kanam who state his opinion, Jayadevan said.
