'Adalat' was organised to address complaints of students, teachers: KT Jaleel
Kozhikode: Minister KT Jaleel responded to the report of the Governor in the University marks controversy. The adalat was not organised for my personal benefit, minister told the media. There are piles of unchecked files in each university. The adalat was organised as we received so many complaints from the teachers and students alike in this regared.
Before this, an adalat was organised in MG university, in which then Chief Minister Oommen Chandy attended. This adalat was an extension of the previous one.
However, the minister told the media that he has not received the Governor’s report on this issue. He also said that he will respond on the matter when he gets the report.
When journalists told him of one of the remarks in the report that a complaint should not be addressed by violating the law, Jaleel said that Governor is within his right to say that.
“Governor is someone who said that the resolution against CAA is illegal. On that basis he had alleged that a lot of us were criminals,” the minister added.
