Season tickets for unreserved trains restored from Monday

Season tickets, Unreserved Ticketing System in Mobile (UTS) and Jansadharan Ticket Booking Sevak (JTBS) centres will be reinstated from Monday onwards.

Chennai: Season tickets for unreserved general coaches of express trains has been restored from Monday. Season tickets, Unreserved Ticketing System in Mobile (UTS) and Jansadharan Ticket Booking Sevak (JTBS) centres will be reinstated from Monday onwards. Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram divisions have taken steps in this regard, the Southern Railway Commercial Division informed.

Kannur-Coimbatore (06607/06608), Ernakulam-Kannur (06305/06306), Kannur-Alappuzha (06308/06307), Kottayam-Nilambur Road (06326/06325), Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam (06304/06303), Thiruvananthapuram-Shoranur (06302/06301), Thiruvananthapuram-Tiruchirappalli (02628/02627), Rameshwaram-Tiruchirappalli (062850/06849), Chennai Central-Jolarpet (06089/06090), Thiruvananthapuram-Guruvayur (06342/06341), Nagercoil-Kottayam (06366), Palakkad Town-Tiruchirappalli (06844/06843) trains will have UTS and season tickets from Monday onwards.

Similarly, JTBS run by private agencies will also function. When the lockdown was announced on March 24, 2020, season tickets having 20 days left to travel will get renewed.

The Mangalore-Coimbatore (06324/06323) and Nagercoil-Coimbatore (06321/06322) trains will have general coaches from November 10. The Southern Railway Commercial Division has announced that more passenger trains will be operating in Kerala after Diwali.
