New Delhi: Central Minister Smriti Irani welcomed the Indian students from war-torn Ukraine in their own mother tongue.

Smriti Irani posted the video of her interaction with the students on board the Indigo flight on Wednesday on her Twitter page.

The minister had a conversation with the rescuees in various Indian languages including Malayalam, Bangla, Gujarati and Marathi. When she asked the Malayali students how they are in Malayalam, the students were spotted giving replies in great enthusiasm.
