The authorities taking the help of Maruti Suzuki engineers to identify the owners of the Eeco van used in the Pulwama terrorist attack on February 14 that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel.
A metal plate of the vehicle carrying some numbers was recovered from the blast site. The engineers, who travelled to Srinagar on Monday, are now ascertaining the vehicle’s year of manufacturing, showroom it was supplied to and the person who bought it, agencies reported.
The investigation team is hoping to identify those who carried out the attack and their aides using the details from the vehicle.
Earlier, the intelligence team had found that the terrorists, who carried out the attack, had used highly advanced mobile phones to communicate with their leaders.
