New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) across the country, two pictures from the national capital have caught the eye.
The first was Delhi Police personnel offering banana and other refreshments to protesters who were detained at Surajmal stadium. The second was some of the protesters at Mandi House offering flowers to the police personnel.
While Delhi police personnel brought banana and other refreshments for protesters detained by them at Surajmal stadium, around 25 kilometres away, protesters offered roses to police personnel.
“They (police) can lathicharge us as much as they want. We are willing to face tear gas shells and water cannons but will give roses in return,” one of the protesters said.
