PEGASUS

Journalist Swati Chaturvedi,in an opinion piece published on Sunday alleged that she was one of the targets of the Pegasus spyware.

Perhaps it is her book on the IT wing of BJP titled ‘I Am A Troll: Inside the Secret World of the BJP’s Digital Army’ which triggered the hacking, she writes.

The book is about the social media “troll army” of BJP. She spoke to many insiders of the “army” and gave an elaborate picture of how they work.

‘Pegasus Project’ by a consortium of 17 media houses had revealed more than 300 mobile phones of politicians, judges, officers, journalists and activists were hacked using the Israeli spyware Pegasus. The owners of the spyware claim that they sell it to only “vetted governments.”
