Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC MD Biju Prabhakar IAS on Friday expressed his concerns over the apparent negligence of the centre-state government towards public transport.
“All debates are over metro services...But we are least concerned about buses that play a crucial role in ensuring last-mile connectivity,” he said.
He pointed out that KSRTC which serves around 20 lakh people in a day is not given ample financial allocation.
He made these remarks while addressing the gathering at 22nd conference of Kerala State Transport Employees Sangh (BMS) held at Thampanoor here.
He also took the opportunity to take a dig at the government’s lockdown curbs on the operation of KSRTC and BEVCO.
