Mangaluru: The Congress in southern Karnataka aims for 'step-by-step growth’. With the BJP slowly eating into the strongholds of the grand old party in the state, it consulted an astrologer to see if there was something wrong with the building.
A vastu astrologer advised the party to increase the number of steps to enter the DCC office in Mallikatte. This is because there were only eight steps, which is an even number. They added one more step to make it nine, an odd number.
In the last Assembly elections, it could only win one out of eight seats.
DCC president Harish Kumar did not refute the news that the change was on the recommendation of an astrologer. He said the bricks were the remains of another construction work.
