Chennai: A Malayali student was killed after a train hit her while crossing the track in Chennai. Nikhita, 19, the deceased, was a first-year student at the Tambaram MCC. She hailed from Puthur in Kollam.
The accident happened on Tuesday morning. Tamil Nadu police said that Nikhita had plugged in her earphones and did not hear the train approaching.
The body was movedinto a hospital for further treatment.
