Bengaluru: Swedish tennis legend Bjorn Borg on Tuesday reportedly declined a felicitation for himself in an event as Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai was late to arrive at the venue.

According to reports, Bommai was late by around 2 hours and Bjorn politely declined the felicitation and left the event.

The event was organised by Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA). The event reportedly was rescheduled to make up for Bommai’s delay, but it remained a non-starter.

Bjorn reportedly had to watch his son Leo Borg’s match scheduled for 11 am at the ongoing Bengaluru openKSLTA Stadium. He left the event for the same.
