Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone on Tuesday visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus to express solidarity with the students who are protesting against the attack that took place against students and faculties on Sunday.

More than 35 students were injured on Sunday when a masked mob went on the rampage, attacking students and professors and vandalizing property. The JNUSU has accused the RSS-affiliated ABVP volunteers of attacking the students.

Deepika reached the campus at around 7.30 pm and spend about 15 minutes with the protestors. She didn’t address the gathering but spoke to some of the student leaders.

Many actors from Bollywood and Mollywood have spoken up on the violence that took place in the JNU campus.
