New Delhi: Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Arun Mishra’s phone number was also featured in the snooping list of Pegasus, reported ‘The Wire’.

As per the report, telephone numbers of two officers from the Supreme Court’s registry were added to the Pegasus surveillance database in 2019. NK Gandhi and TI Rajput are the SC registry officials on the snooping list.

Arun Mishra is the incumbent chairman of the National Human Rights Commission.

According to reports, the number registered in the name of Justice Arun Mishra from September 18, 2010, to September 19, 2018.

When contacted, Mishra told The Wire that he is not using the number since 2013-14. He also clarified that he had surrendered the number on April 21, 2014.

Advocates Aljo Joseph and Vijay Aggarwal are also among the Indian lawyers who are featured on the list.

It is alleged that the Pegasus spyware is used to snoop on journalists, politicians and other eminent personalities.
