Former Gujarat DGP RB Sreekumar IPS
Ahmedabad: High Court of Gujarat on Wednesday granted interim bail to former Gujarat DGP R B Sreekumar.
The bail conditions will be decided by Ahmedabad Sessions court on Thursday, said Justice Ilesh J Vora while granting bail. Sreekumar is likely to be released on Thursday.
Next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 15.
Sreekumar was arrested by Gujarat Police on Jun 25, 2022 alleging fabrication of evidence on the 2002 Gujarat riots to destabilise the Narendra Modi-led state government.
The Supreme Court had asked the police to take action against Sreekumar and activist Teesta Setalvad. Teesta has already secured bail and is out of jail now.
