COVID-19: Mumbai police claims man, who died in Dharavi, got infected from Keralites
Mumbai: Mumbai Police claimed that coronavirus was spread to Dharavi region in Mumbai through Keralites who visited here after the Tablighi congregation held in Delhi.
A 56- year-old man passed away in Dharavi, the other day, due to COVID-19. Mumbai police claimed that he got infected with the disease from Keralites who visited Mumbai after the Tablighi congregation in Nizamuddin. From Mumbai, they left for Kozhikode.
Police claimed that the Keralites stayed in the same house that was rented by the deceased man, where they came in contact. They left from Mumbai for Kozhikode on March 24. However, it is not clear how many Keralites reached Mumbai. The police also said that they have informed Kerala government about the matter and asked them to be traced.
