Congress not to announce complete list of KPCC’s new office-bearers at once?
New Delhi: The Congress may not announce the new office-bearers of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) at once. In an effort to avoid allegations of a jumbo list, the party may initially announce only the KPCC general secretaries, working presidents and cashier.
KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran reached All India Congress Committee in Delhi with a list of 126 people. As there were allegations that it was a jumbo list, the KPCC president was unable to take a final decision.
In this situation, it has been decided to announce the names of 30 general secretaries, five working presidents and the cashier at first. The names are likely to be published on the AICC website on Sunday evening or Monday morning.
At present, the decision is to announce the names of the KPCC secretaries later. The announcement could be made after the panchayat elections or assembly polls.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and KPCC general secretary Oommen Chandy said he was unaware if there is a dispute in KPCC regarding the rejig.
