Chennai: Intelligence reports said that six Leshkar-e-Taiba terrorists including a Kerala man have entered into Tamil Nadu through Sri Lanka by sea. Following the intel report, a high alert is issued in the state.
A group comprising of Illias Anwar, a Pakistan native, a Thrissur native and four Sri Lankan natives reached the southern state. According to Tamil Nadu police, the Kerala man has been identified as Abdhul Khader, a native Madavana in Thrissur.
Based on the reports, security inspection has been strengthened in the state especially in the capital city, Chennai. Intelligence officials received information that the terrorists reached Coimbatore.
Religious houses are under observation as the terrorists reached the southern state impersonating as Hindu devotees wearing religious symbols.
