120 BJP-RSS workers killed in Left-ruled Kerala: Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha
New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday told Rajya Sabha that 120 BJP-RSS workers were killed in Kerala which is ruled by the Left Democratic Front. He made the statement in his reply to the questions raised on the SPG Bill.
Parliament on Tuesday passed by voice vote, the SPG (Amendment) Bill to provide the elite Special Protection Group (SPG) security only to the prime minister and for a restricted period to ex-PMs. Opposition alleged that Modi government brought the bill for political vendetta against the Gandhi family.
In his reply, Shah said that Left has no right to talk about political vendetta. “In Kerala more than 120 BJP-RSS workers have been killed because of political vendetta,” he said.
When the Left MPs alleged that their workers have been killed in political violence, Shah claimed it happens during the Congress-rule. “That happens when the Congress comes and when left comes, but BJP workers always get killed," he added.
