Thrippunithura: In a unique gathering, eminent singer and actor Pappukutty Bhagavathar sang his favourite song 'So Ja Rajakumari' in front of the most reverend Mar Chrysostom Marthoma Valiya Metropolitan, who has just celebrated his 100th birthday,

Enjoying the song thoroughly, the bishop said, "God gave me this opportunity to enjoy this song also."

Pappukutty Bhagavathar sang the song to start the musical tribute 'Idaya Vandanam' organized by hundred artists at Thrippunithura JT Pac to honour the Bishop.

Renowned music director Arjunan master inaugurated the programme. Popular singers including Madhu Balakrishnan sang songs at the function.

Mar Chrysostom said that what makes us real humans is the love for our fellow beings.

Former chief minister Oommen Chandy said that Mar Chrysostom is part of our society. Each time he makes us laugh, there will be something to ponder about also in his humour, Chandy said.

Professsor Thomas Mathew presided over the function. Professor MK Sanu, PT Thomas MLA, Fr. Paul Thelakkat, Fr. Roby Kannanchira and Adam Ayoob spoke.

The programme was organized by Chavara cultural centre, Ernakulam Marthoma community and Sam Kadammanitta music production.
