Victim's children extends help to murderer's family, to return their land and house
Thalayolaparambu: Children of a murdered man have extended a helping hand to the family of the murderer by offering them house and a plot of land that had come in their possession.
Thalayolaparambu native and money dealer Mathew was murdered by Aneesh in a dispute that broke out between them.
However, Mathew’s children have decided to hand over five cents of land and a house to Aneesh’s family. The documents will be handed over to Aneesh’s father, Vasu on Friday. Aneesh is currently serving jail sentence in connection with the case.
The decision has been taken collectively by Mathew’s wife Elsy, their children Naisy, Naija and Chinnu.
As Aneesh could not return the money borrowed from Mathew, he had to register his five cents of land and house in Mathew’s name. This caused enmity between the two which in turn resulted in the murder of Mathew. Five years after the murder, Aneesh’s father Vasu confessed to Naisy that it was his son who committed the murder.
This gesture by Mathew’s family is viewed as an example of kindness and love. The handing over ceremony will take place in the presence of Rev. Varghese Cherapparambil of Thalayolaparambu Saint George church and Vaikkom CI Navas.
