Vava Suresh to help build new house for family of girl who died of snakebite
Kalanjoor (Pathanamthitta): Well-known snake catcher Vava Suresh will help family of a girl who died of snakebite to construct a safe house. Vava Suresh will hand over them the amount given to him for building a house of his own.
A school girl Adithya, daughter of Mankod Anakkuzhi native Rajeev, had died of snakebite on October 4. She was bitten by snake while sleeping in their small house. The mud floor and holes on the walls were in a condition that allows snakes to hide anywhere in the house.
When Vava Suresh visited the family after the girl's death, he had said that he would try his best to help them get a better house. Earlier, an NRI community had gifted Vava Suresh Rs 12 lakh to build a house after knowing that he lives in a small house. He will be using this amount to build a house for Adithya's family.
The old house where Adithya was bitten by snake will be demolished and a new house constructed in the same place within 3 months, Vava Suresh said. He added that the unsafe house resulted in the girl's death and the locals also are offering help for the house construction.
Vava Suresh laid the foundation stone of the house in the presence of Adithya's parents Rajeev and Sindhu and panchayat member K P Raju.
