Vaishnava, 'Viral Krishna of 2019', rejects movie offers, embraces dance as career
Guruvayur: Vaishnava, a Thrissurite, has turned a star on social media after her pics as Lord Krishna went viral. The girl who is a B.Com Student at Thrissur St.Thomas College was the viral Krishna in last year’s Janmashtami celebrations.
Vaishnava is the daughter of dance teachers Sunil Kumar and Mini from Kottappadi.
Vaishnava’s role as Lord Krishna in the ‘Gopikamritham’ at the Janmashtami celebrations has gained wide popularity as her pics went viral on social media.
Vaishnava is the third Kalathilakam title winner to dress up like Krishna in the Janmashtami celebrations. Her seniors Aparna K Sharma and Meera Sreenarayanan who won the title before her also took part in the celebrations as Krishna.
As the Krishna role went viral, Vaishnava’s life changed a lot. She got offers from movies of ace filmmakers Hariharan, Joshy and Jeethu Joseph. Many television serial makers also approached her with acting offers.
But this young artiste rejected all offers politely as she dreams to become a popular classical dancer. Vaishnava attended many television programmes and inaugurations after turning a star following the Janmashtami.
But this Janmasthami, she will not be seen in Krishna's attire at the celebrations.
This time, Janmashtami celebration committee is organising virtual celebrations due to the COVID-19.
