Tamil girl Guna scores A+ in Plus Two Malayalam exam
Thrissur: Guna, a girl from Tamil Nadu, arrived in Kerala to make ends meet. However, now she has scored high marks in the Plus Two exams with A+ grade in Malayalam.
As Tamizharasi, maid at a Thrissur house, met with an accident, she brought her daughter Guna from Thiruvannamala. A former lottery officer and owner of the house, Pushpalatha, however, encouraged the girl to study instead of working as a maid like her mother. Guna stayed at the house for some time and later joined the Thrissur Government Girls HSS.
Now Guna is staying at a single-room house. She completed Plus Two studies in Commerce stream and scored 2 A+ grades and A grades in all other subjects except English (B+).
For the past 10 years, Tamizharasi, her husband and younger son Gokul were residing in Thrissur. Due to financial crisis, they were unable to bring Guna with them. After Tamizharasi’s husband left the family and her accident, Guna was forced to stop her studies in Class 8. However, with the help of Pushpalatha, she was able to pursue her dreams.
Guna now wishes to join BCom or pursue Certified Management Accountant course.
