Suresh Gopi promises to build one more house in Ambedkar Colony
Chittur: Actor and MP Suresh Gopi said that he will build one more house for a family in the Muthalamada Ambedkar colony where issues of racial discrimination exist. He was handing over the key of the house which he built for Veeran-Kaliyamma couple.
Social injustice like racial discrimination was executed in Kerala where people always speak about renaissance. There are many people in the colony who live in poor condition. He said that he will build a house for one of the backward families and the work will start soon.
A complaint was lodged before two years showing that a group of people in the Muthalamada colony were marginalized based on racial grounds. As the issue grabbed national attention, the MP visited the place and promised he will build house to improve their life. Kummanam Rajasekharan and PS Sreedharan Pillai had put the door frame for the house (a ritual followed during house construction). A concrete house was constructed spending Rs 4.5 lakh.
