Kannur: Muhammad Sinan, a differently abled boy, always dreamt of rearing a goat. Even after passing 10th standard from Pappinisseri Govt. Higher Secondary School, Sinan would spend most of his time with goats in the neighbouring houses as he did not have one.
He always collected food for the goats and found time to feed them. Earlier also Sinan was engaged in collecting leaves for the goats of his neighbours during his free time. When returning from school, Sinan’s eyes were always in search of food for goats.
Sinan’s classmates, who are Student Police Cadets, were well aware of his love for goats. Once Sinan passed Class 10 exams, the group of friends gifted him a goat to fulfil his little dream.
The student police cadets took initiative to purchase a goat for Sinan knowing that it would be a help for his unprivileged family as well.
A story featuring Sinan’s life written by his teacher S. Sreelekha had won second prize in a state level story competition.
Valapattanam CI M. Krishnan, ASI Rajan Kottamala, Community Police officer N. P. Bineesh and P. V. Rameesa planned the programme for the Student Police Cadets.
On Wednesday, a team of Student Police Cadets handed over the goat to Sinan at his residence in Irinavu. Teachers and PTI representatives also attended the function held as per COVID-19 protocol.
