Saji sends out a message to save nature thro his bicycle expedition
Kottayam: Parippu native Saji Joseph teaches everyone to love nature through his bicycle expedition across the state. He started his journey on a bicycle from Kottayam and will travel from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. He has displayed the message ‘Save the Nature’ both in English and Malayalam on the bicycle.
Saji plans to visit schools and distribute brochures containing slogans on nature conservation. The brochure put forward suggestions to plant tree saplings, to stop use of plastic, to have a bicycle in every house, to train kids cycling from an early age, to avoid use of vehicles causing air pollution, to engage in farming, to avoid chemical manures and pesticides and to keep drinking water in clay pots.
Saji, who has pledged not to pollute air, soil and water, has been travelling on bicycle since some time back. He travels from his residence in Parippu to his workplace in Kodimatha on bicycle. He also aims in health protection. Saji grows plants on his house compound and distributes saplings for those who need them. He also takes part in awareness classes and gives lectures on nature conservation.
