Adoor: Rajan and Saraswathy tied the knot with the blessings of several well wishers on Valentine's day. Both Rajan and Saraswathy are the residents of Adoor Mahatma Janasevana Kendram. Apart from being Valentine's day, the second Sunday of February was also World Marriage Day.
Tamil Nadu native Rajan (58) and Adoor native Saraswathy (64) were involved in a romantic relationship for the past year. The marriage was organised with the support of both families. Chittayam Gopakumar MLA handed over the ‘thali’ to Rajan as part of the ritual in the function held at Mahatma centre at Adoor.
Adoor Corporation chairman D Saji, Pallikkal panchayat president Susheela Kunjamma Kurup, block panchayat member Sarath Chandran, social welfare department officer in charge J Shamla Beegum were present at the wedding among others. Adoor Gold jewellery owner, Subhash, gifted the ornaments for the bride.
