Pregnant lady rescued from flood gives birth to baby girl
Vythiri (Wayanad): After hours of anxiety and fear, finally, the pregnant woman who was adventurously saved from a flood-hit area of Wayanad, gave birth to a baby girl.
Sajina and her family were isolated in the downpour and landslide in Ammara. Sajna was heavily pregnant at the time.
When the two storeys of their house was flooded, the family took shelter in the terrace.
The fire force personnel arrived for rescue by noon on Thursday and shifted Sajina to a safe place. She gave birth to a baby girl at a private hospital in Kalpetta at night.
The fire force personnel also rescued Sajina’s father Ummar, mother Ramla, brother Anvar, sister Rihanath and her four children. 27-year-old Sajina is wife of Murshid from Ammara. The family conveyed their gratitude to the fire force personnel.
