Kalpetta: When a passenger forgot to ask for balance amount after buying ticket in KSRTC bus, the bus conductor sent the money through Google Pay. Later, the passenger Meenangadi native Jinu Narayanan put up a Facebook post regarding the conductor’s noble action.
Jinu travelled in a point-to-point KSRTC bus from Sultan Bathery to Kozhikode the other day. He gave Rs 200 for buying ticket priced Rs 88. The conductor returned him Rs 10 and said the remaning amount will be given later. But Jinu forgot to get the balance amount before he alighted at Kozhikode.
As he is a member of the WhatsApp group ‘Team KSRTC Sultan Bathery’, Jinu informed the incident to group admin Sarath and also sent the photo of the ticket. He posted the incident in the group. They were told to contact KSRTC depot for inquiries.
Meanwhile, KSRTC staff Dileep contacted the conductor and ensured that the information was correct. The conductor told them that the amount can be paid directly or through Google Pay. Thus the passenger received the balance amount which he forgot to get from the bus through Google Pay.
