Octogenarian cancels house warming ceremony, hands over Rs 10,000 to CMDRF
Kasaragod: Periya native Kunjikannan wanted to invite all the locals and relatives to his house warming ceremony and make it a grand function. However, his plans were affected by the unexpected entry of the pandemic. So PV Kunjikannan decided to hand over Rs 10,000 to Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, after keeping aside all his plans regarding the celebration.
The octogenarian handed over the amount to Rajmohan Unnithan MP, who visited his house. Pullur Periya panchayat vice president P Krishnan and panchayat member C Sasidharan was also present. Kunjikannan and his family will shift to the new residence on Saturday holding a simple ceremony.
