Nilambur 'free kick' children invited to act in movie
Malappuram: The children from Nilambur, who became stars after their free kick went viral, have been invited to act in a movie. The opportunity has come for four students of Poolappadam GLP school who were involved in the free kick that was widely shared and appreciated on social media
M Aslah, MV Prathyush, Lukhmanul Hakkimand and Adil became famous after the video that was taken on January 20 went viral. The children from the opposing team have also been invited.
After reading the news about the children and their free kick through Mathrubhumi, a debutant director from Mumbai, approached the sports teacher Sreeju A Chozhi and expressed his desire to cast them in his movie. The movie, which will revolve around football, requires more such children to act in it. The selection will be held on various parts of Kerala in April and May.
The children became famous after their sports teacher posted the video of the free kick on social media. The video was shared by Kerala Blasters fan group ‘Manjappada’ and social media page ‘433’.
The video managed to get international recognition after it was liked by FC Barcelona’s Frankie De Jong and Ivan Rakitic, also Bayern Munich’s Philippe Coutinho.
