My police uncles are superb, says Keerthana to Ernakulam police
Kochi: Keerthana, a 7th standard student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kochi naval base, was on cloud nine when she arrived at Ernakulam central police station. The police had found Keerthana’s stolen bicycle within hours after receiving her complaint over phone.
Keerthana was excited when she found her missing bicycle at the police station. Witnessing the girl’s happy moment, the police personnel also smiled with great satisfaction in helping her.
“My police uncles are superb,” said Keethana touching her cycle which she recovered without any damage. The interesting cycle story took place on Thursday afternoon at Ernakulam central police station.
The police got a call from Keerthana who was disappointed after finding her bicycle missing. “A thief took away my cycle. Police uncle.. please find it,” Keerthana requested police.
Police inspector A Nisar who received the phone call asked Keerthana to send a photo of the bicycle through WhatsApp.
When the photo of the bicycle got shared on the WhatsApp group of Kochi city police, Ernakulam south police station reported that they already seized the bicycle.
On Wednesday, the police arrested a robber who roamed around on a bicycle in Thevara area. As police confirmed that he robbed the bicycle, they kept it at the police station.
Later, Ernakulam central police phoned Keerthana and informed her of her bicycle.
Keerthana was all over the moon when she got the good news. Expressing gratitude to the police uncles, she drew a painting and forwarded it to the officials through WhatsApp.
Interestingly, the police uncles welcomed little Keerthana with sweets and flowers when she reached the police station to take her bicycle. With a delighted smile, the girl handed over the painting and chocolates to the police officials.
Later, Keerthana returned home riding her bicycle. Assistant commissioner AJ Thomas and circle inspector A Nisar also arrived to see off Keerthana to her house.
