Max all geared up to explore the beauty of Idukki, relish tapioca and parotta
Nedumkandam: German tourist Max Re Born came to India not just for celebrating holidays by visiting South Indian tourist places. It was his extreme passion to visit Kerala, especially to get immersed in the beauty of Idukki by taking ride in his bullet. He came to know about Idukki through movies and social media. He also plans to relish the popular dishes of Kerala - tapioca and parotta.
Malayalis can expect to meet Max in any of the hillside roads in Idukki in the next three weeks. Max came to know about Idukki 6 months ago. He happened to watch some Malayalam and Tamil movies in which some locations in Idukki were shot, as instructed by a friend in Chennai. The lush green landscapes in Idukki lured Max and he set out for a journey to the place in 6 months.
Max plans to spend about three weeks of the five-week long holiday trip in Idukki. He reached Varkala the other day and visited various places in Nedumkandam region including Ramakkalmedu on Saturday. “I feel like flying down from the top of Ramakkal to the valley spreading two wings. Though I have visited Puducherry, Kodaikanal, Dhanushkodi, Thiruchirappalli and Varkala, no other place or sight have excited me this much,” Max said enticed by the beauty of Ramakkalmedu.
Max plans to travel 1800 km in his bullet. He has already visited Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. He travels 300 – 400 km every day for sightseeing. Max has completed 1000 km by now. His next target is to watch the ‘paradise’ of Idukki closely. Max, who loves Kerala culture a lot, is a 2nd year student of engineering. He said that he will visit Idukki again next year along with his family.
