Mathrubhumi employees donate TVs for online learning in memory of Veerendra Kumar
Kapetta: The employees of Mathrubhumi donated television sets to students in Wayanad district who have no facility for online learning. The TVs were donated in memory of former Chairman and Managing Director MP Veerendra Kumar. 84 TVs were donated to honour 84 years of his life.
The TVs will be set up at community study rooms after identifying the areas including Adivasi colonies and other rural areas with the help of education department.
Wayanad Collector Adeela Abdulla received the TVs from late Veerendra Kumar’s wife Usha Veerendra Kumar at his house. The Collector said that 84 TVs given together will come as a great help.
Mathrubhumi Managing Director MV Shreyams Kumar, Editor Manoj K Das, Assistant General Manager Public Relations K R Pramod, Works Committee Chairman M Dharmarajan, Journalist Union General Secretary K Santhosh Kumar, Voice of Mathrubhumi Employees Joint Secretary C Ratheesh Kumar, Non-Journalist Union General Secretary OC Raveendran also attended the function.
