Marking brotherhood, Razack’s well serves public
Chavakkad: Giving a relief to public from water scarcity, Orumanayur native Razack has dug a well in his plot. He made the well as a note of kindness and brotherhood in his village.
Becoming an epitome of brotherhood, Razack, constructed the well as an ultimate solution to the water scarcity of eight families in his neighbourhood.
These families were depending water pipe connection for a long time. But water supply is not regular through this pipe.
As most of them are coolie workers and farmers, they could not collect the water when it supplied during day time. Hence, water scarcity became a major problem in their life.
Though Razack already has a well in his land, it would not supply enough water to these families.
Finding his neighbours in distress, Razack purchased 16.5 cent land to dig well. It is difficult to find pure water after digging well in this area. But fortunately, Razack found pure water in the new well.
After constructing the well, he made arrangements to supply water to each house. He distributed water tank of 325 litre capacity to these eight houses for collecting water.
Water will be supplied to these tanks though a hose once in a day. A pump set is also placed in the well for this purpose. Bucket and rope are also arranged in the well to collect water at any time.
Razack is running a catering service unit here. He used to donate a share of his profit to poor families annually.
