Ranni: The home in Vidya’s dreams has become a reality. The beautiful small house near Vadasserikkara Kadamankunnu Temple is a gift from actress Manju Warrier.
Vidya, her mother and sisters have shifted from a rented house and can stay safely at their own home. The house warming is on Thursday. Manju Warrier will come to the new house to share their joy.
Manju Warrier had announced houses for economically backward girls, who demonstrated excellent dance performance in the state school youth festival held in Kozhikode in 2015. She made the annoucement through Mathrubhumi's youth festival special edition.
She announced financial support at a function organised by Mathrubhumi in Kochi to felicitate 12 selected students. After learning about their situation, Manju informed that houses will be built for four of them. Vidya who didn’t have a house or own any land was one among them.
Vidya is BA Bharatanatyam student at MK Janaki College in Chennai. Vidya said that Manju has been donating money for her education and her mother’s medicines since the day they met. Vidya and family are waiting for Manju on their special day.
