Malappuram viral kids watch Santhosh trophy match, escort Kerala players to the ground
Kozhikode: The Malappuram kids who went viral on social media were present in the city for the Santhosh Trophy game between Kerala and Tamil Nadu on Saturday.
The children were invited by Kerala Football Association to watch the match. They also ended up escorting the Kerala players to the ground.
All the 12 children who were seen in the video reached Kozhikode along with social worker Sushanth Nilambur. They returned from Kozhikode after receiving footballs as gifts from KFA.
A lot of people were waiting in the stadium to catch a glimpse of these children and take selfies with them. The kids had also attended the Kerala- Odisha ISL match that took place in Kochi, as per the invitation from the Kochi-based club. They watched the game sitting in the corporate box of Kaloor stadium.
The viral video of the children convening a meeting in order to buy a new football was shared by Sushanth Nilambur. He said that after the video went viral, many people came forward offering help to the children.
