Nilambur: Linsha who has got admission for MBBS will be the first doctor from Kattunayakan tribal community in Kerala. Following her father’s words to become a doctor, Linsha passed the medical entrance examination with flying colours.
V Linsha is the daughter of Kavalayil Valsan and Santhamma and resides at the tribal colony in Chokkad which is spread across 40 cents. After passing the NEET exam, she got MBBS admission in Palakkad Govt.Medical college.
When Linsha completed her Plus Two, her father approached many government offices seeking help for free NEET coaching. Most of the officials stated that if she gets admission in the coaching centre at Pala, they will take action for financial aid.
Finally, Valsan took admission for his daughter at a private coaching centre in Manjeri. He was confident that his daughter will definitely crack the exam. Making her father proud, Linsha scored good marks in the exam.
“Support from my parents encouraged me to study well. I have studied at Chokkad Govt.UP School and Navodaya Vidyalaya. I attended NEET coaching classes for one year,” said Linsha.
Linsha bagged 20,251 st rank in the state and 19th rank in reservation list. She got admission in Palakkad Govt. Medical College in the first allotment itself.
Linsha’s father is a forest guard. Her brother Lijin has bagged first rank in special recruitment of excise guard. Her younger brother Lijith is a 7th standard student at Chokkad Govt. UP school.
