Life of lady engineer-turned-tandoori tea seller to unfold on big screen
Kochi: Anila Thomas, a software engineer who turned Tandoori tea seller in Kochi, is a real inspiration for all. She defeated cancer twice in her life. Now, her inspiring life is making way for a Malayalam movie.
Mathrubhumi has reported the story of Anila in November.
Bollywood director Shine Krishnan, a resident of Mumbai, will direct the movie. Sources revealed that script work of the movie is almost done.
“I have discussed the script with some leading actresses in Mollywood. I plan to start shooting in September depending on the response from the actresses. The shooting will be held in Kochi, Palakkad and Coimbatore,” said the director.
The movie will be released in multiple languages.
Meanwhile, Anila is suffering from cancer for the third time. Director Shine came to know about Anila after reading the news in Mathrubhumi.
“I am making the movie to raise fund for Anila’s treatment,” revealed the director.
Anila faced a major setback in her life when she was diagnosed with cancer two times. At first she was diagnosed with blood cancer and in the next stage, she suffered liver cancer.
Following this, she was forced to resign from her job at TCS in Coimbatore.
When she was under treatment, her father passed away. In order to manage the treatment, Anila shifted to Kochi.
She is running her Tandoori tea shop in Kochi along with her friend Noorul Iman.
