Kudumbashree 'Cafe Corner' to offer food for fair price at airports
Nedumbassery: In order to resolve the complaints that high price is charged from expats for food and beverages at the airports, Kudumbashree is introducing 'Cafe Corner' in the state. The first 'Cafe Corner' was inaugurated at Nedumbassery airport by district collector S Suhas.
The collector said that they asked Kudumbashree Mission to initiate the project after more flights started landing in the state and passengers kept complaining of the high price of food and snacks.
After the antibody testing started at airports, the passengers have to spend more hours there. However, many of them were unable to buy food from airports due to the high price.
Passengers will get food and snacks for fair price at Cafe Corners. The micro enterprise units of the Kudumbashree members in Kunnukara and Choornikkara panchayats are running the Cafe Corner.
Kudumbashree Ernakulam District mission Coordinator S Ranjini, assistant district mission coordinators T M Regina, K Vijayam, district programme managers P R Arun and P A Ajith also attended the inauguration of the Cafe Corner.
