Kids from Rajasthan take part in Sobhayatra in Thrissur
Thrissur: When the state celebrated Sri Krishna Jayanti on Friday, children dressed up like Sri Krishna and Radha made the streets more colourful and vibrant. The kids had a great time in the Sobhayatra, ceremonial procession held under Balagokulam.
For the first time in the history of Sobhayatra in Thrissur, kids from Rajasthan also participated in the celebrations. Over 15 children from Rajasthan took part in the grand procession.
Major Sobhayatra of Balagokulam was held at Thrissur town, Guruvyaur, Thiruvilwamala, Kunnamkulam, Wadakancherry, Pazhayannur, Chalakudy, Irinjalakuda, Kodungallur, Kodakara, Chavakkad and Amballur.
‘Uriyadi’ (breaking pot) games were held at over 200 centres. About 150 cow worship (Gho Pooja) and cultural meets were held in Thrissur district.
