Malappuram: Although classes have turned online, Vijisha teacher prefers to teach her students at their homes. The teacher from Parappanangadi town GMLP school is visiting her students with gifts and teaching them at their homes. Notebooks, pens and textbooks will be part of the gifts.
The teacher renders her service to an area where the parents cannot focus on their children’s studies due to different reasons. These students are from the Parappanangadi beach area.
Vijisha visits the houses of her students after her online class hours. She spends more time with the students who perform poorly. She teaches Class 4 students.
The students are also very interested in listening to the teacher’s class, which is filled with songs and stories. She spends three hours at each house. Vijisha visits one house each day. She also teaches them to follow COVID protocols. The parents are also very grateful for the teacher’s service. She helps the students with other activities apart from their studies.
Vijisha said that this idea popped into her mind when she noticed that many students did not attend her online classes and that she could see the benefits of teaching directly.
