I will serve my Kerala, says Coronovirus survivor
Thrissur: A girl with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kit lived her life inside the hospital ward between January 27 and February 20. This medical student who was diagnosed with the deadly novel coronovirus did not lose her determination and hope when she came to know that the first 3 tests of her sample tested positive.
The student was discharged from hospital after spending 25 days in isolation. The girl who survived the first confirmed case of the virus covid-19 was relieved when she opened up to Mathrubhumi. Let’s call her Adhijeevitha.
“I’m a third year medical student at the Wuhan University. I have come to know more about China for the past 3 years. It is a country which provides good livelihood and has no discrimination. The vacation begins generally in January but this time I decided to stay there itself. But suddenly everything changed and I reached home.
I’m indebted to all those who have offered their prayers. Without my knowledge, many people have prayed for me. That is really a special feeling. I feel many are with me and I’m not alone. I’m proud and happy when I say that I’m from Kerala…and that is the same feeling I have when asked about the Kerala Health department.
I have to mention about the nerve shown by Shailaja Teacher. After I finish my studies, I will definitely be back to Kerala. I will do 100 percent justice to my job. Now I have seen the crisis by myself. I have encountered the love and care shown by the workers. What other positive energy do I need to continue in this field” the survivor said.
