From Mohanlal's 'Spadikam' lorry to KSRTC bus, Arun converts scraps to miniature vehicles
Nedumangad: Arun, a 20-year-old Irinchayam native, is not bothered about the lockdown and COVID-19 outbreak. He is busy making miniature forms of big vehicles from scrap materials.
Being an automotive enthusiast, Arun was persuaded to make miniature vehicles with the materials he found around. Interestingly, he has made a small version of Mohanlal’s lorry in the superhit movie ‘ Spadikam’. The lorry named ‘Spadikam’ looks similar to the original one. His collection of works also include a new model fast passenger bus of KSRTC.
Arun is studying AC mechanic course in Thiruvananthapuram. He started creating miniature vehicles after his classes were interrupted due to the pandemic outbreak. He makes each vehicle with utmost dedication and passion.
‘Spadikam’ lorry, the centre of attraction among the vehicles, is the first one created by this genius. “I observed many vehicles parked in workshops and other places to make the miniature form. I observed minute details and researched a lot on internet,” Arun explained.
Arun’ s Spadikam lorry carries each part of an original lorry.
His second work was a tourist bus named ‘Komban’. After this, he surprised everyone with the model of KSRTC bus.
While making the KSRTC bus, Arun was focussed to create each element including the distance between seats, the number of seats and two doors in the bus looks exactly similar to the original one.
