Finally, French woman gets back her purse; thanks Kerala Police
Kochi: Desmasur Fleur (27) and her son Thavo (3) from France will be grateful to the Kerala police forever. For the French woman and her little son, Kerala police turned saviours when she lost her purse near Nedumbassery airport. Finally, the police found her purse which she lost on Sunday.
After losing her purse, the mother and son got completely stranded in the place which is strange to them. As the public misunderstood them as coronavirus infected, nobody was ready to help them. Kalamassery police located them from Ernakulam Medical college premises on receiving information from some natives.
The police made the tourists comfortable. At first, they served food for the French woman and child. Later, the police informed the French embassy and the officials sent money to the woman.
On Monday afternoon, Kalamassery police took the French woman and her child to Ernakulam south railway station. The mother and child boarded the train to Delhi from here.
Even after the woman and child left Kochi, CPO Raghy at Kalamassery police station continued the efforts to find her purse with the help of Nedumbassery police. After examining the CCTV visuals, police identified the autorickshaw in which the French woman and son travelled. Her purse was recovered from the back seat of the autorickshaw.
Her purse carried Indian money above Rs 7000, credit-debit cards, driving license and Sri Lankan currency.
After recovering the wallet, CPO Raghu contacted the French woman and informed the good news. When she expressed gratitude, Raghu told her that it is his duty.
The police will transfer the cash to the woman’s bank account. Her purse and other belongings inside will be sent to her via speed post.
